Maternity Leave Discrimination 25 Mar 2009
Maternity leave discrimination
What rights do you have?

Is the economic downturn having an effect on women on maternity leave, making them more vulnerable to redundancy? We hear from a listener who was made redundant at the end of her maternity leave, even though that is against the law. Jane is joined by Camilla Palmer a solicitor specialising in employment discrimination law, and Mary Boughton who chairs the health and safety unit for the Federation of Small Businesses to discuss what steps you can take if you think you are being disadvantaged at work or feel you are liable to be dismissed because you are pregnant or on leave?
