Helaine Blumenfeld
Award-winning sculptor

Helaine Blumenfeld has been sculpting in marble and bronze for over 40 years. She spends concentrated periods of time working in Pietrasanta in Italy and then returns home to her house and studio in Cambridge. Last year she became the first woman to win the prestigious sculpture award 'Il Premio Pietrasanta e la Versilia Nel Mondo.' Her current show 'Letting Go' opened recently at the Robert Bowman Gallery in London. Melissa Viney went to meet Helaine in Cambridge to find out how she works.
