Judy Blume 30 June 2008
Judy Blume
The acclaimed American writer of pre-teen fiction

Seventy year old Judy Blume is famous for her adolescent fiction, and, in particular characters like Fudge. Her most popular books were written in the 1970s, such as, 'Are You There God?', 'It’s Me, Margaret', and 'Forever'.  Her latest book 'Cool Zone with The Pain and the Great One', which is the second in a series of four books for younger children, is about to be published. She joins Jane to discuss the popularity of her books, her own experiences of puberty and what it's like to be one of the most censored writers in America.

Cool Zone with the Pain and the Great One by Judy Blume is published by Macmillan ISBN-10: 0230700276
