Kate Rew on the best places for a Wild Swim in Britain

The government recently announced it would be introducing free swimming for the over-60s, but author Kate Rew has an alternative way of encouraging free swimming for all – by doing it outdoors in the rivers, lakes and seas around Britain. In her book, ‘Wild Swim’, Kate, who founded the Outdoor Swimming Society, identifies hundreds of her favourite places to swim. She joins Jane to talk about the attractions of taking a dip in the often bitterly cold British waters.

Wild Swim by Kate Rew is published by Guardian Books, ISBN: 978-0-85265-093-6
