The controversial Japanese comics

The big-eyed characters from Japanese Manga comics are becoming increasingly popular in films, fashion and advertising. But despite its huge popularity Manga is a source of controversy both here and in Japan; adult Manga can be pornographic and violent, with much of the imagery based on the eroticisation of schoolgirls. As Japan bows to international pressure to ban the possession of child pornography, Jenni hears why explicit Manga will be exempt from this new legislation.
