Newly appointed head of the Human Fertilisation and Embrology Authority

On April 1 Lisa Jardine, Professor of Renaissance Studies at Queen Mary, University of London, started work as head of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA), which regulates IVF clinics and embryo research. She talks to Jenni about the immediate challenges and controversies she faces in her new role.
