Britain’s first female Home Secretary

Back in June Jacqui Smith MP was appointed Britain’s first woman Home Secretary. She took over a department that her predecessor had called “not fit for purpose” and within days was facing terrorist incidents in Glasgow and Central London. Jenni talks to the Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith, about how she’s getting on with her wide brief which includes responsibility for crime, immigration and asylum.
