Nick Hornby and teen fathers 08 Oct  2007
Nick Hornby
The author's latest book concentrates on the forgotten fate of teen fathers.

Britain has the highest rate of teenage pregnancies in Europe. The focus is on helping young mothers but what about the teen fathers? Nick Hornby’s latest book ‘Slam’ is written from the perspective of 16 year old Sam, who’s life changes forever when he finds out his girlfriend is pregnant with his child.

As well as talking to Nick about why he has exchanged the football terraces for teenage pregnancy Jane will be discussing the role of young fathers and their relationship with their children with Greg Bastille, Youth Participation Worker for the West London YMCA and DNA Mix.
