China's Stolen Children 5th Oct 2007
China's Stolen Children
A new film about China's kiddnapped children.

Ten years after the powerful film The Dying Rooms, about the neglect of abandoned babies in Chinese orphanages, the same award-winning team has returned to a very different China, where the infamous One Child Policy has created a boom in kidnapped children.

Executive Producer Kate Blewett joins us in the studio to tell us about her new film ‘China’s Stolen Children’, a Dispatches Special, which examines the horrific trade in children. Emeritus Professor of Chinese Studies, Delia Davin also joins us to discuss how the stringent government policy on birth has led to an estimated 70,000 children being kidnapped every year.

‘China’s Stolen Children’ will be going out on Channel 4, Monday 8th October at 9pm.
