My mate is cooking a xmas meal for 20 (he's mad) this Sat. He asked me if I knew a good festive cold starter, he could prepare in advance - any ideas?
He also wanted a good mulled wine recipe.

What seasonings would be good to use, and how long and what temperature should it be cooked - for a medium-rare roast?
