Transplanted Memories 22 Nov 2006
Ian and Lynda Gammons
Lynda Gammons got more than she bargained for when she donated a kidney to her husband, Ian, in October 2005. Ian despised shopping, cooking and gardening, but since the operation has become more and more like her. He’s been baking scones, pruning the roses and perusing the aisles of his local supermarket in search of bargains and culinary delights.

So is it possible to inherit personality traits from an organ transplant donor? Ian and Lynda join Jenni to talk about their experiences and are joined by Dr Paul Pearsall,  Clinical Professor at the University of Hawaii and Dr Diana Sanders, psychologist at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

'The Heart's Code' by Paul Pearsall, is published by Thorson and Broadway Books, ISBN: 0767900952.
'Will I Still Be Me? A Journey Through A Transplant' by Diana Sanders is published by Day Books, ISBN: 0953 2213 8 5
