The Today Programme Christmas Repeal Vote

The 2006 Today Programme vote is 'The Christmas Repeal'.

We asked you to suggest laws which should be scrapped and many thousands of you sent in your ideas – thank you.

On 20 December our panel of experts will sift through your nominations to come up with six short-listed laws.

The vote will go live on Friday 22nd December and you will then be able to vote as to which of these laws would you most like to consign to the dustbin of British history?

The panel members:

Lord Phillips, Liberal Democrats
Ann Cryer, Labour
Anne Widdecombe, Conservative
Claire Ettinghausen, director of The Hansard Society
Ceri Thomas, editor of The Today Programme
