Who Runs Britain Vote 2005
Who runs Britain? That’s the question we’re asking in this year’s Today Programme Christmas poll. We’ve invited three ‘bloggers’ to follow the arguments.
Blogger One: TIM IRELAND
Tim Ireland is a marketing and search engine optimisation consultant who successfully campaigned for Tony Blair to be accessible by email before producing the first weblog by a Labour MP (Tom Watson) and the first weblog by a Conservative MP (Boris Johnson). During the general election, he ran the satirical tactical voting campaign Backing Blair. In 2005, his personal website - bloggerheads.com - reached over a million web users. He is currently working on a non-partisan project designed to recruit bloggers and motivate them to do more for their community.

Tim Ireland Judy Oliver Kamm
Blogger Two: JUDY
I've been blogging at Adloyada since August. I spent about a year getting into blogs and eventually started exchanging emails with some of my favourite bloggers. I loved the way I could finally find other people whose views on politics, education, religion and the state of the human heart were as different as mine. Being over sixty, I've had ample time to develop my own opinions on just about everything. I've spent years working in and sometimes writing about education, the internet and the EU, but I was never in the habit of writing anything about myself. Now I find I regularly write about politics, education, religion, the BBC... and weird little bits of my own history. I live in Finchley, in London, and love ! the fact that blogging has introduced me to new friends all over the world.
Blogger Three: OLIVER KAMM
Oliver Kamm is a London-based hedge-fund manager, a columnist for The Times , and a political and cultural commentator in the print and broadcasting media. He is the author of Anti-Totalitarianism: the Left-Wing Case for a Neoconservative Foreign Policy (Social Affairs Unit, 2005).
