CAMBRIDGE MAFIA
Cambridge Mafia
In the annals of the modern Conservative Party there's a photograph that tells a fascinating story. It was taken at the wedding of Kenneth Clarke, whose long-held ambition to lead his party died this week. He's surrounded by friends, in Cambridge. And five of the seven went on to become Tory Cabinet ministers.

The Photo above - Left to right: Ex-Cabinet minister Sir Norman Fowler, Conservative party leader Micheal Howard, ex-environment secretary John Gummer, ex-chancellor Kenneth Clarke, ex-European Commissioner Sir Leon Brittan, veteran broadcaster Sir David Frost, and ex-Chancellor Norman Lamont.
