Bringing Back The Beaver
Dylan attended the Bringing Back the Beaver conference which was held at the Cotswold Water Park in May. He spoke to Derek Gow, Gerhard Schwab and Skip Lisle about what we could learn from how different countries have overcome the problems that beavers can cause on rivers. More information about the conference can be found here.
Spotting Rare Bird Visitors
Recent visitors to this country have included a Wilson's Phalarope and a Scop's Owl. Many counties have bird sighting websites set up by local birding clubs or "birdline" sites. The BTO have some useful links on their site.
The Cerne Abbas Giant Wildlife Survey
The National Trust undertook the first ever survey in June of this important archaeological and wildlife site.
The BTO Great Spotted Woodpecker Survey
