Lord Woolf, the former Lord Chief Justice, appeals on behalf of the Personal Support Unit. Courts can be terrifying places if you cannot afford a lawyer. This charity trains volunteers to give practical non-legal advice and to go to court with the 1000s of people every year who have to represent themselves.
