In Chicago I will be trying to rescue "the neglected sense" - the ear - and launch a campaign against muzak.

In the first of my lectures from Jerusalem I will talk about how music is the great equaliser as I have discovered in my West-Eastern Divan Orchestra which brings together young Arab and Israeli musicians.

We end in Jersualem to explore power. Music has shown me that there is a fundamental difference between power and strength which could map a new journey for our politics.
