Charlotte Green joined the BBC after graduating from the University of Kent with a degree in English and American Literature. After a few years as a studio manager she joined Radio 4 Presentation as a continuity announcer and has been specialising in news reading since 1998. Charlotte has been reading the news on the Today programme since the days of Brian Redhead and is also a regular participant on The News Quiz .
During her career Charlotte has produced and presented Morning Has Broken , presented News Speak for the World Service and been a narrator for Music in Camera on BBC Two. She has also been a judge for the BBC Frank Gillard Annual Local Radio Awards. A highlight of Charlotte's career so far was winning the Radio Times Most Attractive Female Voice on the Radio award in 2002.
Away from work Charlotte loves going to the theatre, concerts and art exhibitions, is an avid reader and a keen supporter of Tottenham Hotspur FC. She is also a Trustee of the University of Kent Development Fund.
