Harriet Cass

Harriet Cass is one of Radio 4's two senior announcers, responsible for managing the team of announcers and newsreaders. She has been a broadcaster for more years than she cares to remember. She has also worked as a television news director responsible for the main TV News bulletins, been a senior broadcast journalist in the Radio Newsroom, writing news for all the radio networks and spent a few years at the BBC's Westminster offices at Millbank, reporting, producing and editing Today in Parliament for Radio 4. She has worked on political television programmes such as Westminster Live as a senior producer, and has been involved in outside broadcast coverage of Party Conferences for television.

Harriet returned to Radio 4 in 1996, which she regards as her "spiritual home". "It's a huge privilege to lead such a talented team of announcers on the best speech network in the world. It's also a lot of fun."
