Elinor Goodman was for 20 years political editor of Channel Four News, and is now a freelance journalist covering politics, rural affairs and travel. She has always been interested in the countryside and lives in Wiltshire, where she keeps her horse. She is a Commissioner for the Commission on Rural Communites which acts as an independent adviser to the Governemment on rural issues.
