Clive Anderson

Clive Anderson

Clive Anderson spent nearly 15 years practising as a barrister, in his spare time performing as a stand-up comedian and writing scripts for Frankie Howerd, Griff Rhys Jones, Mel Smith and others.

He started broadcasting in the late 1980s, presenting Whose Line Is It Anyway? first on BBC Radio 4 then on Channel 4 TV. He fronted ten series of his chat show, Clive Anderson Talks Back, also on Channel 4, before he moved on to BBC One with Clive Anderson All Talk.

On Radio 5 Live he has presented a number of hour-long biographies of public figures from Jeffrey Archer to Jesus Christ.

On Radio 4 he has presented travel and other documentaries on subjects ranging from justice in the Amazon to the history of Wikipedia.

In recent years on television he has presented The Big Read and Maestro! on BBC 2.

Currently, in addition to Clive Anderson's Chat Room on Radio 2, he presents Loose Ends, Radio 4's long running entertainment programme on Saturdays, and Unreliable Evidence, in which he discusses legal issues with major figures from the world of the law.
