Motivation

'Motivation' is one of the buzz words of the business world and one that's spawned a whole industry. Shoptalk will be sampling the methods companies use to get that extra bit out of their staff. It could be an American guru who'll have you dancing in the aisles, it could be a mountain climber or a stand-up comic, or they might even send you off for a chilly day's sailing. But do the motivators make a difference and do we really need them? Why not just find out what makes us happy instead. Shoptalk will be trying both approaches.

Guests

Steve McDermott - motivational speaker

Professor Lord Layard, author Happiness: lessons from a new science

Henry Stewart, chief executive Happy

Dr Roland Tarleton - author of Motivational Styles Questionnaire

Rebecca Stephens, first British woman to climb Everest, motivational speaker

The programme includes a report on 'Intelligent Sailing' - motivational and team building courses
