Where have all the leaders gone?

Leaders
Companies need leaders, never more so than in an economic downturn. So where are all these leaders?

In a poll on the most respected professions, commissioned by our colleagues at the Today programme, ‘company manager’ came 65th, four places below ‘checkout operator’, and ‘company director’ was even worse at 84th.

With Britain’s industrial productivity still lagging well behind competitors like the United States, France and Germany, where are strong leaders when we need them most?

Guests

Sara Pearson, CEO and Founder of the SPA Way (PR company)

Matthew Gwyther, editor Management Today

Stephen Schnieder, mentor and coach

Richard Olivier, set up a leadership through drama business called Mythodrama

Michael Anthony, author, who is writing a book called Life Lessons from Historyless Heroes (due out on 1st May 2003) - also runs his own company Wild Day.com which has grown to become the largest on-line retailer of outdoor clothing and accessories in Europe.
