Yvonne Murray has been reporting for WATO/PM since November 2006. Before that she was a producer on the programmes having joined on a placement from BBC World Service.
Yvonne grew up in Dublin where she studied European Studies at Trinity College Dublin, before coming to London to do a Masters in the history of International Relations at LSE.
As a producer at the BBC, she's worked in the Middle East, most recently during the Israel-Lebanon war, 2006, and the US, where her biggest claim to fame was interviewing Robert Redford at the Sundance Film Festival.
She had a stint as a researcher in the US Senate in 2000 before becoming a freelance radio and print reporter for Irish and British media.
For the World at One, PM, The World this Weekend and she reports on a variety of stories including social affairs, new media, crime and the arts.
in her spare time, Yvonne plays the piano and guitar, although not very often these days."
