"Presenting Nice Work is fascinating because of the wide range of stories you hear, and the people you get to meet. Not only do we cover the big picture trends and theories, we get up close to the real experience of work, from the people who actually do it."

Call Me
In Nice Work this week Philippa Lamb looks at how jobs in call centres are changing.
The industry is mushrooming. It employs 600,000 but lower staff costs, in countries such as India, have already tempted a string of companies to move operations abroad.
But if jobs in the UK become more professional and home-working takes off can we stem the flow?
Fair Pay?
Also, can you imagine knowing exactly how much your colleagues earn and questioning management if you think they've got pay levels wrong?
Nice Work visits Aspen, a pension and actuary company, where this is exactly how things work. And they are not the only company working this way.
Does such openness mean that managers think much harder about why they pay some staff more than others? And, if managers have to explain why they're worth it - will they award themselves less?
