"Presenting Nice Work is fascinating because of the wide range of stories you hear, and the people you get to meet. Not only do we cover the big picture trends and theories, we get up close to the real experience of work, from the people who actually do it."

China
In the second of two programmes from China Philippa Lamb will be looking at how work is experienced by most people in the world's fastest-growing economy.
With over 70% of the population living in rural poverty, an estimated 150m people have moved to seek a better life in the cities. For many, the opportunities they find there make the trip worthwhile. But for others no benefit ensues. Currently in China an estimated £6 billion of wages to "migrant" workers are being withheld by their bosses.
The programme also looks at the role that western companies are playing in improving working conditions and asks how far they can go.
