"Presenting Nice Work is fascinating because of the wide range of stories you hear, and the people you get to meet. Not only do we cover the big picture trends and theories, we get up close to the real experience of work, from the people who actually do it.
Over the next six weeks we'll be looking at the pros and cons of work experience; investigative claims that Britain is fast becoming a nation of malingerers and updating you on disability issues. We'll also be looking into the spiritual side of working life and finding out about the help available for people who want to return to work after a lengthy career break."

Age Discrimination
If you've ever felt your career path has been blocked because you were too young or too old for that promotion then you'll be delighted to hear that from 2006 age discrimination will become illegal.
Everyone will be protected - young, old, middle-aged. And all workplaces will have to change - no more ageist jokes, not even the birthday cards laughing at your advancing years.
Recruitment advertising will have to remove all references to age, even benefits which may favour those who've been at a company longest might have to be scrapped.
But can Britain's workplaces become egalitarian utopias where age is no longer an issue or will the new laws lead to swathes of law suits?
The new age discrimination legislation - which still hasn't been drafted - will also address whether or not there is a mandatory retirement age.
The age lobby claims it should be abolished altogether as it represents age discrimination in its purest form. Meanwhile the CBI and the business community would like to retain a cut off point for retiring employees.
In this week's Nice Work Philippa Lamb will be discussing the implications of the new age discrimination legislation for workers and companies.
