"Presenting Nice Work is fascinating because of the wide range of stories you hear, and the people you get to meet. Not only do we cover the big picture trends and theories, we get up close to the real experience of work, from the people who actually do it.
Over the next six weeks we'll be looking at the pros and cons of work experience; investigative claims that Britain is fast becoming a nation of malingerers and updating you on disability issues. We'll also be looking into the spiritual side of working life and finding out about the help available for people who want to return to work after a lengthy career break."

Violence at Work
With more people than ever before worried about suffering aggression at work, Nice Work looks at what companies are doing to ease their fears.
Violence is now a major problem for people employed in a very wide range of workplaces, from cafes to council offices, doctors' surgeries to supermarkets.
The NHS has adopted what it calls a "zero tolerance" approach to the problem, while the shopworkers' union USDAW has been trying to raise awareness of the issue. They claim that their members are now routinely abused verbally or even attacked.
In this week's programme, Philippa Lamb looks behind the statistics to see if employees perceptions match the facts.
Meetings
Nice Work also lifts the lid on meetings. The average manager attends 559 meetings every year - that's more than 2 every working day.
But it's not just managers who spend their lives in meetings nowadays. Despite recent advances in office communication technology, face-to-face meetings still play a big part in the lives of most office workers.
Can anything be done to reduce the hold they have over us?
