"Presenting Nice Work is fascinating because of the wide range of stories you hear, and the people you get to meet. Not only do we cover the big picture trends and theories, we get up close to the real experience of work, from the people who actually do it.
Over the next six weeks we'll be looking at the pros and cons of work experience; investigative claims that Britain is fast becoming a nation of malingerers and updating you on disability issues. We'll also be looking into the spiritual side of working life and finding out about the help available for people who want to return to work after a lengthy career break."

Smoking at Work
The debate about smoking in public spaces is high on the agenda, but what about smoking in the workplace?
While more of us work in smoke-free environments than ever before, a recent study found that 56% of workers still come into contact with smoke in the course of their work.
Fag breaks and smoking rooms are still a big part of working life in Britain, but for how much longer? Some employers aren't just banning fag breaks, they're banning smokers!
We visit two companies who only take on non-smokers. They think smokers are less productive because they go out for cigarette breaks. Nice Work asks what the future holds for smokers at work?
Dyslexia
Dyslexia affects one in ten people. Schools are now very good diagnosing the condition. But what about all the older people whose symptoms weren't picked up when they were young. Are they still struggling to cope at work without knowing that they're dyslexic?
Estimates vary, but there could be as many as a million people in that situation right now. For some of them the impact that their undiagnosed dyslexia is having on their working lives is enormous.
