"Presenting Nice Work is fascinating because of the wide range of stories you hear, and the people you get to meet. Not only do we cover the big picture trends and theories, we get up close to the real experience of work, from the people who actually do it.
Over the next six weeks we'll be looking at the pros and cons of work experience; investigative claims that Britain is fast becoming a nation of malingerers and updating you on disability issues. We'll also be looking into the spiritual side of working life and finding out about the help available for people who want to return to work after a lengthy career break."

Consultation
In today's programme Philippa Lamb looks at radical new rules to make employers consult their staff over major decisions.
The Government says it wants to see a "no surprises" culture at work which will see companies setting up formal procedures to tell their staff about changes such as redundancies and closures.
We look at the catering group, Compass which has established its own "works council" to get ahead of the legislation, based on the German system of employee representatives.
In the studio to discuss these changes and assess what difference they'll make to workers we have Sarah Veale, head of Equality and Employment Rights at the TUC and Kate Brearley, partner at the law firm Stephenson Harwood.
New Look
And in the last series Nice Work followed eleven young deaf people through the recruitment process at the fashion store New Look.
Four of the candidates were sucessful. We go back to find out how they've been getting on - it's their first job and it's also the first time that New Look has employed people who communicate in sign language.
