Work Experience and Apprenticeships

With the current skills shortage significantly affecting business productivity in the UK, Philippa Lamb examines how effective the effectiveness of one of the training schemes trying to address this problem - Modern Apprenticeships.

Plus, this summer, thousands of young people will be doing some form of work experience for the first time. For most it's a taster of the world of work. For others, it presents an unmissable opportunity to get a foot in the door. But what are the pitfalls?
