"Presenting Nice Work is fascinating because of the wide range of stories you hear, and the people you get to meet. Not only do we cover the big picture trends and theories, we get up close to the real experience of work, from the people who actually do it.
In this series we ask, are girls getting a raw deal when it comes to being paid for helping out around the home? Anecdotal evidence suggests that boys earn more. We'll be investigating, and giving kids of both sexes some useful negotiating techniques to try out on their parents.
Also in the series, employment rights for members of the clergy. Should clerics be protected from unfair dismissal and discrimination at work in the same way as other employees? The Church of England isn’t convinced - we'll hear the arguments from both sides. And competitive couples - what's it like to live with a partner who does the same job? Does the insight make you more supportive or is career rivalry driving a competitive wedge between you?

Stressbusters
Can you cure yourself of work-related stress? At the start of the series we asked for volunteers to road test a range of stressbusting techniques for Nice Work. Since then Maria, Hugh and Ruth have been doing their best to bring down their stress levels with the help of three different approaches.
Maria, a customer liaison manager has taken on a fitness regime at her local health club, Total Fitness; Hugh, a magazine editor has taken home the interactive CD Rom "Under Pressure". Ruth, a manager in a theatre, has been working with a personal coach from the Coaching and Mentoring Network. We hear how successful they've been in the last programme of the current series.
The CD ROM used in this programme is one of several on the market and is available to individuals at just over £100.
There are a range of mentors and coaches across the UK that offer personal coaching. These services can range in price from £35 - £100 per session depending on the reputation and qualification of the coach. Coaches may offer a sliding scale which would be dependent on ability to pay.
There are a range of health and fitness clubs across the country. Monthly membership can range in price from approximately £30 - £100. These prices vary depending on peak & off peak times, membership needs, location and classification of the club.
