On the first programme of the new series we chat about airports, business in the North West, and corporate memory.
To kick off the new series we’re in Manchester, talking to some of the biggest and most established businesses based in the North West – and finding out how they’re coping during the now-official recession.
On the panel this week is the boss of one of the country’s biggest airport companies. We all like to groan about airports, but we’ll also ask out what drives the industry, and whether there are any big changes that could make travelling more comfortable.
And it seems to be all change in the business world at the moment, but then we stumbled upon the curious case of an employee who has been working for Goldman Sachs for 75 years – if you can believe it, a career spanning back to the last depression.
The panel will tell us about corporate memory – how they pass on knowledge and what they learned from generations past.
The Bottom Line cuts through confusion, statistics and spin to give you a clearer view of the business world through discussion with people running leading and emerging companies.
