In the first of a new series, we take the temperature of the economy.
It seems as if we’re living - as the old curse goes - in interesting times. For the first programme in our new series we thought it would be appropriate to take stock of where the economy stands at the moment, and where it’s headed. Among other things, the head of one of Britain’s biggest property companies gives us his take on falling property prices.

In the second half of the programme, we move from going down to going up. Just as property is declining, the cost of many commodities – including food, fuel and raw materials – is rising. What impact does that have on the business world? Tune in or download our podcast to find out.

Our guests this week:

Stephen Hester
Chief Executive
British Land

William McGrath
Chief Executive
Aga Rangemaster Group

Ralph Oppenheimer
Executive Chairman
Stemcor
