Evan Davis
On the programme this week, Evan Davis and guests discuss trade secrets and life after the top.
In the business world today, some of the most valuable products are ideas rather than things you can touch or see. But defending intellectual property has been made more difficult by globalisation and the fact that there are vastly different attitudes towards intellectual property around the world. There are lower-level challenges as well – such as what to do about employees who lose laptops. We ask our guests what they do to stop trade secrets from ending up in the wrong hands.

And after reaching a career summit, many of us would be tempted to spend the next phase of life playing golf or travelling the world. But some take different paths. We ask our guests about what happens after life at the top.

Our guests this week:

Percy Barnevik
Adviser Hand in Hand, former chief executive of ABB and former chairman of AstraZeneca

Warren East
Chief executive, ARM

DeAnne Julius
Chairman, Chatham House and former Monetary Policy Committee member
