Evan Davis
In the first of a new series, Evan Davis is in conversation with four people with big business vision about the very imprecise art of expecting the unexpected.
If bird flu ever becomes widely transmissible between humans we can expect at least a quarter, maybe even more, of the UK's workers to be off work as a result. Even if they aren't all off at once, it's a huge challenge for any organisation to keep going with staff appearing and disappearing unpredictably. That's particularly true in this slimmed down, just-in-time world. So what are companies doing to plan?

Branding is one of the key components of successfully growing or extending your business and Evan is intrigued by how Stelios manages to spread his brand from airplanes to pizzas, with a quick stop off at cruises and credit cards. Is it as "Easy" as Stelios would have us believe?

Fiona Price leads a discussion on whether women entrepreneurs suffer from sex discrimination at home. Is it true that male bosses can come home and treat their families like their workforce, while women have to make do with wimps for husbands if they don't want to spend their weekends cleaning the house?
Evan's guests this week are:

Stelios Haji-Ioannou, owner of EasyGroup

Lord Parry Mitchell, founder & chairman, Syscap

Fiona Price, member, Small Business Council, former founder of Fiona Price & Partners, a financial advisory service for women

Mary Corrie, founder of City Organiser, and former European Board Director at Shell
