Jack Rosenthal's Last Act
When dramatist Jack Rosenthal finally wrote his memoirs, he did so as a screenplay. He told his story in the medium he knew best, and included excerpts from some of his most successful plays. His daughter Amy Rosenthal has adapted the memoirs and wife Maureen Lipman plays herself.
Jack Rosenthal was a devoted family man, an amateur sculptor, a self-taught violinist, an ardent Manchester United football fan and award-winning author of over 150 screenplays.

The memoirs capture the excitement and buzz of his early days at Granada, where he met his future wife Maureen Lipman, the first broadcast of Coronation Street, for which Jack wrote over 100 episodes, the trials and tribulations of Broadway and Hollywood, the joys of family life, and finally the illness which was to claim his life.
