In 1966 Tony rode a elephant through Leeds city centre. It caused chaos and attracted a police escort. Tony was only 20 years old and in charge of publicity for an exhibition hall. Every year they held a circus, and it seemed like a good idea at the time to take the three elephants out for a promotional walk. Tony rode one, his mate on another, and the final elephant just followed on. The Chief Inspector of Police wasn't best pleased...
