Famous in Serbia

Listen to the item

Earlier this year Quinn, a Glaswegian Band received the unexpected news that they'd reached number 8 -  in the Serbian Hit parade.

Their single The World Is Upside Down had been downloaded off the net by Serbia's best-known music editor. He played it frequently on his Belgrade music station and it became a hit - in Serbia, anyway.

Quinn, who are more used to playing Glasgow's smaller venues were invited to tour Serbia. The fees were small but the hospitality would be massive - and they'd get to be pop stars. Irresistable.

Alistair Cooke, whose wife Louise is the band's lead singer, emailed to ask if we'd be interested in an audio diary of the trip. We said yes, so they loaded up a van and off they went...
