Matthew Biggs, a professional gardener for over 20 years, studied at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. He started in broadcasting with radio phone-in's and Channel 4's Garden Club and has been a guest on TV quizzes, makeover programmes and a kitchen gardening series based at an allotment in Manchester! He directed the long-running Grass Roots programme for ITV and is now a regular panellist on Gardeners' Question Time.
He loves plants, contributes regularly to several magazines including BBC Gardeners' World magazine and has written books on houseplants and vegetables.
Matthew travels extensively, visiting habitats ranging from The Netherlands to Indonesia, preferring hotels and cruise ships to the tough life of a plant explorer. He likes his gin chilled! |
