Meeting the Queen: Margaret and Sonia

Duration: 02:14 minutes

Margaret was lucky enough to be chosen to dance for Queen Elizabeth II when she visited Stoke-on-Trent. It was Her Majesty’s first visit to the city following her Coronation. Margaret and several of her classmates were chosen to dance at a special ceremony at Stoke City Football Club. Here Margaret tells her daughter Sonia all about it. She explains how wonderful it was to see the Queen – but that the bad weather meant it wasn’t quite the happy event everyone was expecting.
