Actor
Tom Graham
Plays Tom Archer
Tom joined the BAFTA award winning Television Workshop aged 14 in his home town of Nottingham. The weekly workshop sessions covered various aspects of theatre and television, and provided a pool of young talent which casting directors could look to when casting projects. Through the workshop Tom landed parts in TV productions including Harry’s Mad, Woof, and The Famous Five.
In 1997 Tom won the part of Tom Archer. After finishing his A-levels Tom went on to do a degree in Psychology at Manchester University whilst continuing with the Archers.
On graduating, Tom went travelling, spending three months backpacking around Australia and Malaysia with friends. On his return he moved to London and decided to give acting his full attention. Tom has made appearances in Casualty and Hollyoaks, and played sixth former Nick Edwards in Grange Hill.
He also appeared strolling across a sun-kissed beach in a commercial for Orange picture messaging, and kissing in the rain in the music video for McFly’s top ten hit The Heart Never Lies.
Tom lives in south London. He loves art, music and travelling, and escapes to the mountains each winter to go snowboarding.

Archers highlights
Getting to go to Glastonbury to record the adventures of Tom Archer’s burger van was incredible. I got to meet John Peel, had an access all areas wristband and it was (mostly) sunny! Recording an episode with the bouncing beats of De La Soul playing on the Pyramid Stage in the background as the sun set was like being in a dream.
I've been asked to be a judge at sausage tasting competitions before which is always a pleasure, not only getting to eat loads of gourmet sausages but also getting to meet the people who are doing for real what Tom Archer does.
Other Career highlights
Filming the music video for McFly’s hit The Heart Never Lies at Pinewood Studios' underwater stage, where they filmed scenes from The Bourne Identity and the infamous toilet-swimming scene in Trainspotting.
Being in the same tank that Matt Damon and Ewan McGregor had once been, being filmed by the same cameraman that shot their scenes, trapped in a car, kissing the video’s femme fatale with a team of safety divers around me was terrifying, exciting and unforgettable.
Tom's view of Tom Archer
Tom is a lovable pain in the backside; his heart is well and truly in the right place but he doesn’t always know when to stop talking about sausages. He’s besotted with Brenda, committed to his family and his business, and has struggled against the odds to build his sausage empire in honour of his big brother John, who he still misses.
