Kathy and Kenton get together
Kathy and Kenton’s had not been a whirlwind romance. They first noticed an attraction when they shared stories of broken marriages on the day of Sid and Jolene's wedding in July 2002.
But it was Kenton's portrayal of the dashing Cedric Pargetter that won the "fair maiden's" heart.
Kenton was very good at a softly, softly style of romance. When Kathy gently refused his first offer of "coffee" after drinks at Bannisters, he set to work on befriending Jamie. Having taken mum and son out for a day's swimming and cinema he left them at the cottage door with just a departing tender kiss. How could anyone resist? Kathy certainly couldn't.
One hot summer's night in August when Jamie was safely ensconced at The Bull, Kathy cooked a delightful meal and, although Kenton offered to leave, Kathy invited him to stay.
