Michael Portillo reconsiders the uncomfortable facts behind The Glorious Revolution.
Genius is the comedy series which sees Dave Gorman and a celebrity guest chew over the ridiculous, unworkable but sometimes genius inventions, schemes and policies of the public.
If you have an ingenious invention, a sublime plan for solving problems both small and large or a twisted scheme for making the world a better place or at least a more interesting one then we'd love to hear it.
In previous series we uncovered listeners with the following genius ideas
Selling Bovril as a fizzy drink.
Designing special summer clothing for Goths.
Running the House of Commons by the rules of Just A Minute
Steel drum urinals for musical trips to the loo.
Breathalysers on your mobile phone to stop you from making regrettable calls.
Hooking up gym equipment to feed the national grid.
To send in your idea, simply fill in this form, or email (including an active telephone number) genius@bbc.co.uk or call the BBC Radio 4 helpline on 08700 100 400.
Genius is the show that invites listeners to air those incredible concepts that strike you just before falling into a nice sleep or after one-too-many drinks at the pub - not necessarily ideas that are worthy or even very well thought through but those that have a hint of genius.
At the recordings, Dave and his special guest genius talk through a series of ideas pitched to them by their creators. At the end of the show Daves guest genius chooses his or her favourite two ideas, leaving the audience to vote on which of the two they think is the most inspired. The pitcher with the most votes wins an immense sense of self-fulfilment and the legendary Genius trophy.
Previous guest geniuses have included Stewart Lee, Carol Vorderman, Brian Sewell, Chris Addison, Richard Madeley and Armando Iannucci.
