Despite his provocative material and frequently offensive manner, many media observers consider Stern to be something of a genius and a highly talented comic performer. Stern has always been a target for the censors and received millions of dollars in fines, but he has changed the face of American radio by removing himself from the airwaves and broadcasting on satellite radio only.
