On Midweek this week:-
LIA DITTON
Lia Ditton is a conceptual artist and yachtswoman. She was the youngest and only woman to finish in the Faraday Mill OSTAR [single-handed transatlantic race] last summer. She has just completed her latest venture Absolute Solitude - in which she lived on her yacht at The Courtyard, Chelsea College of Art.
MICHAEL HUTCHINSON
Michael Hutchinson became a full-time cyclist in 2000. He has won more than 20 national titles and the gold medal in the Masters' Pursuit World Championships. He has now written about the World Hour Record and how it took over his life.
The Hour: Sporting Immortality the hard way is published by Yellow Jersey, at £12.99.
RICH SMITH
What started out as an innocent board game on Christmas Day inspired Rich Smith to undertake a daring crime spree 11,000 miles across the United States. In a mission to break some of the most absurd laws on the statue books he attempted to lie down and fall asleep in a cheese factory, to catch a fish with a lasso and went fishing in his pyjamas in Chicago! He has written about his escapades in You Can Get Arrested For That, published by Bantam Press at £9.99.
CRAIG REVEL HORWOOD
Craig Revel Horwood started his career as a dancer, and has appeared at the Lido in Paris and in London's west end in shows including Crazy for You and Miss Saigon. He is well known as a judge on the hugely successful BBC TV series Strictly Come Dancing. He is now director and choreographer of Hot Mikado, an actor/musician show which opens on 12 July at the Watermill Theatre, Newbury, Berkshire. Box Office: 01635 46044.
