GUY DARTNELL
Guy Dartnell is an award winning director and performance artist whose work spans the realms of theatre, music, dance, circus and film. Guy created and developed Oogly Boogly a performance and game for young toddlers with Tom Morris (Associate Director, Royal National Theatre). Oogly Boogly takes place in a specially made inflatable space, designed by Alan Parkinson of Architects of Air. It is on at Sadlers Wells in London from 10 - 17 July.
MIKE THEXTON
Mike Thexton travelled to Pakistan in 1986 to visit the area where his elder brother Peter, a doctor and mountaineer had died of altitude sickness back in 1983. He was caught up in the Pan Am hijacking at Karachi Airport on September 5 and selected to be the next hostage to die. His account of that hijack and his life afterwards called What Happened to the Hippy Man? is published by Lanista Partners.
APRIL ASHLEY
April Ashley was born George Jamieson in 1935 and had a sex change in the late 1950's. Her autobiography The First Lady is published by John Blake at £17.99.
DOUGLAS HODGE
Douglas Hodge is an actor and director. He recently received rave reviews for his role as Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls. He is now playing the title role of Titus Andronicus at the Globe Theatre. He is directing the wartime comedy See How They run at the Duchess Theatre.
