EAMONN HOLMES
Broadcaster Eamonn Holmes was named after another famous TV presenter, Eamonn Andrews, and since he was a young boy he wanted to follow in his namesake's footsteps. While growing up in Belfast during The Troubles TV became his means of escape; the bulletins reporting the world on his doorstep inspired him to work in television news. He moved into breakfast television, presenting GMTV for 12 years and now Sunrise on SKY News. He has written his autobiography: This is MY Life, published by Orion, at £17.99.
