MERRILY HARPUR
She is a cartoonist, writer and poet.
Fascinated by mysterious big cat activity, she runs an investigative website about big cat sightings in Dorset; and she recently attended the first national British Big Cat Conference. She has now written a book on the subject: Mystery Big Cats is published by Heart of Albion, at £16.95.
ROBERT KNOTH
He is a Dutch photographer. To mark the 20th anniversary of Chernobyl he has an exhibition of photographs which document life in the radioactive ruins of four nuclear disaster sites in the former Soviet Union.

DAVID SOUL
He is an actor and singer, best known for his role in the 1970s TV series Starsky and Hutch. He is currently starring in the musical Mack and Mabel at the Criterion Theatre in London's west end.
LIZ SMITH
She is an actress, best known for her role as the grandmother in the TV sitcom The Royle Family.
She has now written her autobiography: Our Betty - Scenes from my life, which is published by Simon and Schuster, at £14.99.
