A three-part observational documentary series follows her as she enters a suburban comprehensive school, putting her disciplinarian methods to the test. Don't Mess With Miss Beckles is on BBC TWO on Tuesdays at 9.00pm.
DANNIELLA WESTBROOK
- is an actress, made famous by her role as Sam Mitchell in EastEnders.
She has now written her autobiography, which includes the account of her descent into, and recovery from, cocaine addiction. The Other Side of Nowhere, is published by Hodder & Stoughton, at £16.99.
DELIA JARRETT-MACAULEY
- is a writer, academic and broadcaster. She has published three books, the most recent being Moses, Citizen and Me, her first novel, which is published by Granta, at £7.99. The book has been shortlisted for The Orwell Prize Awards 2005 for Political Writing.
Delia presents a radio documentary in which she returns to Sierra Leone after 30 years' absence. Imaginary Homeland, is on BBC Radio 4, on Friday 31 March at 11am.
PAUL ROSEBY
- has an extensive CV as a TV presenter, and he is also a broadcaster and writer.
He is joint artistic director at the National Youth Theatre, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. The anniversary will be marked with the theme of the 'teen' - and there will be a programme of nationwide activity encompassing every aspect of youth culture and teenage life.
